Fabrizio Romano gives the latest update on Chelsea’s striker pursuit
Chelsea’s pursuit to sign a new
striker this summer is currently the
talk of the town, and also the source
of many frustrations for many Chelsea
fans.
The club are looking to sign a big
name new striker this summer, and
all the talk has been around Erling
and Romelu Lukaku so far, with other
names also thrown in the hat.
However, nothing is advancing as
we speak and the transfer window
clock is ticking along.
For me, I won’t be panicking just yet
, I remember other sagas such as Kai
Havertz last summer that went on well
into August.
However, I would like to see some
positive movements begin to happen
now, but according to Fabrizio Romano,
that is yet to happen.
Romano said:
“For this summer, there is no chance
to sign Robert Lewandowski for
Chelsea. Inter define Romelu Lukaku
as non-transferable and untouchable,
another very complicated affair.
“That’s why the dream remains
Erling Haaland, but from Borussia
Dortmund the club’s version is clear:
there is no offer on the table, not
even an official approach. It will take
madness to sell Haaland, not even
€150million would be accepted. And
above all, Borussia will not wait until
25/30 August despite having already
bought Donyell Malen.”
