 According to rumours, Sporting manager Ruben

 Amorim has surfaced as a surprising candidate 

for the Manchester United manager's job. The

 36-year-old tactician is quickly establishing 

himself as one of the game's finest young coaches

, having accelerated his way to the top of 

Portuguese football. 



Amorim was still playing for Benfica in 

2017 when he decided to become a manager. 


Yet, having previously worked at Casa Pia, 

Braga B, and Braga, the former player has 

made life in the dugout look easy wherever

 he has gone. 


Despite just having two months of top-flight 

experience, Sporting came knocking in 2020 

and spent about £8 million to remove him from

 his Braga contract. 


Amorim stamped his mark into Sporting history

 by winning the Primeira Liga after a 32-

match unbeaten run. 


His release clause is now estimated to be 

worth roughly £25 million - a significant sum.
