Breaking news : Ralf Ragnick in his interview exposes his tactic and people who will play against young boys today ,this squad is incredible ,Manchester United are winning this game.
Manchester United's line-
up against Young Boys at
Old Trafford this evening
(Wednesday) is already
starting to take shape.
For those who play our United Predictions
game, the hints that have already been
dropped should provide a strong base
for having a good stab at the XI on
duty for the final Group F fixture, with
the Reds already assured of a seeded
slot in the round-of-16 draw next
Monday.
With the domestic matches coming
thick and fast throughout the month,
our interim manager has indicated that
he will rotate his squad, and, although
there are still many questions to be
answered, some of the proposed side
has already been revealed.
So let's start in goal as we know
Dean Henderson is primed to start,
with the boss admitting as much during
his press conference. The homegrown
keeper is set to make his second senior
appearance of the season after a
lay-off from the after-effects of
COVID-19 at the beginning of the
campaign. He also played, and
performed well, in the Carabao
Cup tie against West Ham United.
Henderson made one outing in this
competition last term, the away defeat
to Istanbul Basaksehir, and another
four in the Europa League, conceding
only once across the double-headers
with Real Sociedad and AC Milan.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka is ready to
regain the right-back role after missing
the win over Arsenal with a hand
problem but being on the bench
for the 1-0 triumph against his former
club Crystal Palace. Both full-backs
could change as Luke Shaw is also
likely to return from a head injury
sustained at Watford, with the England
man due to replace Alex Telles
if he proves his fitness.
Nemanja Matic is set to captain for
the second time this campaign, pointing
towards Harry Maguire being
rested. The centre-back positions
need to be finalised and it remains
to be seen if Victor Lindelof also
steps down, with Eric Bailly definitely
a potential starter. Phil Jones is
ineligible, though, and Rafael
Varane has been ruled out.
Teden Mengi is available as part
of the Champions League squad.
Matic appears certain to land one
of the defensive midfield roles and
Donny van de Beek, another
confirmed starter, could either play
alongside the Serbian or in one
of the more advanced positions if
Ralf sticks with the 4-2-2-2
formation that proved successful
against Palace.
Two other midfielders, Jesse
Lingard and Juan Mata, strong
contenders for one of the more
advanced slots, will also get
game-time, although Rangnick
did not say if they would definitely
be in the XI or come off the bench.
Youngsters Anthony Elanga
and Amad are also in the interim
manager's thoughts but we
know Mason Greenwood is to
play in attack.
The 20-year-old got his first
minutes after testing positive for
COVID-19 when coming on as a
substitute and recording the assist
for Fred's winner on Sunday.
With Anthony Martial joining
Edinson Cavani on the sidelines,
although both could be available
again next week, the options are
more limited than usual and there
is talk in some quarters that
Cristiano Ronaldo could feature,
at least at some point, as he is
on the brink of scoring in each
of the six group games. However, it
may be decided that our leading
marksman deserves a rest.
Rangnick is keen to have a close
look at his squad as he bids to
implement his ideas swiftly and
there are clearly very positive
early signs with regards to his
faith in youth. In addition
to Elanga coming on at a critical time
of the Palace match, the club
has also promoted six Academy
youngsters onto the B list for the
competition ahead of the 20:00
GMT kick-off.
Bjorn Hardley, Zidane Iqbal, Sam
Mather, Charlie Savage, Charlie
Wellens and Shola Shoretire have
been added, which may have
some impact on the Under-19s'
final UEFA Youth League group
game, with Young Boys providing the
opposition at Leigh Sports Village
in a 15:00 GMT kick-off.
Hannibal is currently representing
Tunisia in the Arab Cup.
