When Paul Pogba was re-signed by Manchester

 United in the summer transfer window of 2016

, Jesse Lingard quickly took to social media to 

express his joy. At academy level, the pair were 

a formidable partnership, famously assisting 

the club in winning the FA Youth Cup in 2011. 

Ralf Rangnick, on the other hand, appears to 

be on the verge of losing the pair. 


From a young age, this was evident. Despite

 their talent, the pair have struggled to make 

an impact at Old Trafford. 


Lingard appeared to be destined for a huge

 part when he debuted under Louis van Gaal. 

Under the Dutchman, he was at his best, before 

alternating between hot and cold under Jose

 Mourinho.
