According to The Guardian, Manchester 

United reportedly offered Newcastle £50 

million in total, including bonuses for 

Lingard, basically instructing the Geordies

 to put a price on avoiding relegation. 


United appears to be behaving erratically

2019, Newcastle notoriously demanded £50 

million for Sean Longstaff, and United 

wisely declined. 


We believe that common sense will triumph

, and that the Lingard deal will be completed

 ahead of schedule and at a significantly reduced cost. 


Lingard is suffering as a result of the two 

teams' deadlock.

 According to WhoScored, that was  one of Fred's three key passes on the day,  with only Jadon Sancho making more  in a red shirt.  In the absence of Bruno Fernandes and  Scott McTominay, no one made more  blocks for United, and only Harry Maguire  made more clearances. Fred stepped up to  the plate in midfield.  He had his doubters, and the game was  at times of poor quality, but Fred put in  a great performance to help United regain  some momentum.  Ronaldo was deserving of the man of  the match award – no one else could have  won it – but Fred also deserves appreciation  for his performance.
